Moving on…
Hey guys this is the last blog post that I will write… on this site! I will be moving to tumblr at analogambience.Tumblr.com see you there!
Technology Director
Well this is the first official post of the new Analog Ambience. I have accepted the position of Director of Technology at Chorus Church!
This position is something that was suprising to me. I have a limited skill set in implementing technology in church. I had a very intense internship under Alex Mclain at Life Church. That taught me a lot of the skills I am falling back on here at Chorus Church. The Church is a church plant just like Life Church was when I was in my internship. However I have no formal training in any of the skills that are required for the job.
This forces me to rely on God for the knowledge to get stuff done. Also, I love to learn how do do new things so I am having a blast trying to make stuff happen.
I am trying to push the church forward. They had been using the same eqipment the same way for the last 6 years. I am trying to use new technologies and use the old equipment in new ways in order to eliminate distractions and create a space for worship.
I am so thankful that God has blessed me with this position because I can be creative with stage elements and be able to teach people how to operate the pieces of technology in order to create an excellent worship environment.
The New Hotness
Hey guys welcome to the new site design. God is totally introducing a lot of change in my life. I have a new job. I have a new vision and I need a new site. I have been using the idea of analog ambience for close to six years and I feel like my vision for this website has changed so much from the bass confessional and the constant complaining of my early blogs.
I want to transform this blog into a personal reflection on all things church technology and as well as some reflections on worship music and bass playing. This is a fresh start, a completely new blog hopefully with regular updates. I hope you enjoy!
